Lara Logan
Lara Logan was born 29 March 1971. She is a South African journalist, radio and television journalist. Between 2002 and 2018, she was a CBS News correspondent. Jeff Fager the director of 60 Minutes, called her inaccurate and biased story about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the most grave mistake I've made during my 10 years in journalism." Logan was a reporter for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989), followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). She joined Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as an executive producer. After four year, she moved to freelance journalism. Assignments included those as a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. She worked for CNN covering events such as the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo war.
