Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. She is most famous for playing the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated to a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as an therapist for speech and family and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English descent. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish and has stated that she is a participant in Passover seders.
